The D5000 is a battery grip for the NIKON D5000 DSLR cameras, which can hold two lithium ion battery packs EN-EL9 or EN-EL9a.
It is equipped with 2-step vertical-grip shutter release button to enable shooting in the same fashion as a horizontal grip. The half press shutter button function is realized through the signal cable from the battery cable connecting socket to D5000 camera cable control socket.
